Not Unpacked

I know I haven't updated my blog of late, but it just seems sometimes I can't get around to it. Life seems crazy at times and you wonder, 'where has the time gone?' I need to make more time for me. Maybe that is being selfish, but I realize more and more that time is not going to wait for me. I have to "make" time, and "take" time. Things that I loved doing are almost like things of the past. I could go to one room of my home and look at boxes that remain unpacked. They say "if you haven't used it in the last 2 yrs then you don't need it." Well, that is true in some cases. My thing is I want to see what I have. Maybe someday I will.

Boys if I find stuff belong to you I will send it along. (now it won't be tomorrow).

God has a treasure box for me and I am so glad I don't have to wait to see what is in it. It is always open as He gives me blessings every day.

The End or The Beginning

This is the start line, as well as the finish line. Have you ever felt like you have never left the start line. Or you left only to find yourself going back to where you started.

When I think about it I do it everyday in one way. When I open my eyes in the morning, "Good Morning Lord" and I rise out of bed. The day continues with different events, work, etc, that need attending to. Night comes and I say "Good Night Lord", and I go to Bed and close my eyes, to sleep. Finishing where I started.

Does it seem mundane? Maybe. Just depends on what you make of your day. Do you ever say "Oh I should have stayed in Bed?" It's because we want to start over. But that is not possible, so we plod on and look at that finish line.

So the Question? Is the Beginning the End or is the End the Beginning? Start at the Finish Line, and Finish at the Start Line. Confused!!! Don't be. Life can keep you going around in circles if you let it. You just have to remember how many laps you want to go to finish what you have started.

Bad Girls

Wow, June is here. Can you imagine? I am sure you can, it comes the same time every year.(Ha!) Well, this past weekend I was at a Women Connected Conference put on by The Salvation Army Great Lakes Division Women's Ministry. The Guest was Liz Curtis Higgs, Author of "Bad Girls of the Bible." She has quite the life story to tell. Her exposition of the word, with her humor, really brought the scriptures to a new light.

However, I could not believe She is only "52". A little bit older that me. Oh Well, age is only a number.

I purchased one of her Books, "Really Bad Girls of the Bible", so I will start reading that one soon. Maybe I will share some insights from it. Has anyone read it yet? It would be great to hear someone else's insights. Let me know.
