Determined People
It is hard to believe that we are into the Month of May. Well, Roland is at Bible College, exercising the Brain Cells. I am holding the fort here. It has been busy but as many familiar faces I see there are always 'new' ones as well. It is amazing the curves that life throws some of these people. What is more amazing is how they cope. People are interesting. There is one gentleman who comes to our office who is so crippled with arthritis, but he says "I get myself up and I go because I have too. I can't let it keep me down." Determination. I think so.

I DETERMINE MY DAY! I have responsibilities to fulfill today.
My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have.
Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free. Or I can grumble about my health or I can rejoice that I am alive.
Today I can cry because roses have thorns or I can celebrate that thorns have roses. Or I can whine because I have to go to work or I can shout for joy because I have a ministry to do.
Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped. And here I AM, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.
What today will be like is up to ME. I get to choose what kind of day I WILL HAVE!
The secret is really found in the Lord. Pursuing God daily. Keeping Him involved in the everyday stuff of life. Keeping Him in my decisions, plans, my fun times, my struggles.
